This article describes the standard progression of a PhD at EDITE.
The stages below are based on the official PhD start date, referred to as T0.

- T0
Enrollment in the first year of the PhD. - By T0 + 6 months
Formation of the Individual Monitoring Committee (learn more) - Before the First CSI
Submission of an Individual Training Plan (learn more). - Re-enrollment in the 2nd Year
Although first-year enrollments occur throughout the year, re-enrollment for the second year is tied to the academic year, not the exact PhD start date (T0). The report from the first CSI is required for this enrollment. - Re-enrollment in the 3rd Year
A new CSI report is required to enroll in the third year. - Between T0 and T0 + 36 months
You are expected to complete doctoral training courses (learn more). - T0+36 months Thesis Defense
- Enrollment in the 4th Year
You must have finalized the composition of your jury and reviewers, as well as set a provisional defense date. - Enrollment in the 5th Year
This is only permitted in exceptional cases, such as for employed students whose work is unrelated to their thesis.
Throughout your PhD, you will also be required to submit metadata for your scientific outputs to HAL (TEL for your thesis).
